I'd go for a smoke coloured translucent device...

Nintendo already did that with the Gameboy's a couple years back. :) Personally I'd like something that has so little "machine" to it that the color becomes more or less irrelevant.

Let's see if Apple can dump its stainless steel and gloss white fixations.

I'm with you, bud. Even IKEA managed to grow out of that phase...it's way past time.
