For the record...Thomas Jefferson coined the phrase..."Separation of Church and State" !

Isn't that what we really have here...albeit in a "virtual"..."message board"...microcosm sort of a way !

Thomas Jefferson was NOT an opponent of Religion !

Far from it !

He merely set out to define the roles of Government and Religion...and the way the two should interact !

He set out to DEFINE the First Amendment...for those who chose to misconstrue it's intended purpose...for their own selfish and personal agenda(s) !!!

Look...a Federal judge can't unilaterally choose to display a sculpted granite version of "The Ten Commandments" in a Federal Courthouse !

Prayer in Public Schools is NOT allowed !

And...something tells me...hey, maybe I'm crazy (but, I don't think so)...but something tells me that if someone displayed a "siggy" that voiced an affiliation with "ALLAH" (the Muslim's equivalent to GOD/Jesus)...AND...sympathy with the "Islamic Jihad" movement that so many (obviously...not ALL...but MANY) Muslims espouse...ALL of the characters screaming for the "RIGHT" to post Jesus references in their "sigs"...would be singing a different tune !

Matt, I realize it's difficult for YOU to get off your ass and actually CONTEMPLATE and take a STAND on these matters of "self-expression"...but just look to Thomas Jefferson !

He should be your MODEL !

He should be your MENTOR !!!
