Napier was labeled as invasive from the DOA. Micanthus grows well in the frost and the US midwest regions but is susceptible to disease and requires two years to first harvest. Also it has a limited life without replanting. I believe 10 years. Giant King Grass produces higher yields with multi-year harvests but grows in tropical-subtropical regions and is disease tolerant and not invasive according to the DOA! It also does not require replanting for up to 15 years!
