Obit - thanks for your careful considered response. My 'thought experiment' is simply to toss out possibilities for the sudden appearance of tens of millions of shares for sale at 1:15 - 1:45 on the nose and out of the BLUE.

Naturally, I am not suggesting that Ackman sold at exactly $6.00.

1,805,409 shares were sold at $6.00 for a total of $10,837,837.13.

Your carefully selected 'fact' makes your argument stronger by more narrowly defining mine. I trust you realize that is not fair argumentation. I am only suggesting broad guidelines and averages. He could have also been selling in the $5.70s and $5.80's the day before and all morning prior to 1:15 in the $6.00s and high $5.00s.

I am most interested in people proposing alternate theories for the source of the sudden appearance of the massive amount of shares to so obviously drive the price down. As you said previously, it appeared to be an algorithm intended to create panic selling, and ARCA was obviously the driver of the crazy bus. I've not heard any good conjectures so far, and facts are very few. This is also a discussion board, not a court of law.

Do you have any thoughts about the source of shares starting the collapse. I won't hold you to facts, just looking for reasoned thoughts and speculation, since most of what is actually going on in the pink sheets is kept opaque.
