Here's my Take on this.
It’s not the company, it's the VC's* aka "Whales" bottom feeding. They set the price and once they get their fill they will let her blow and ride the wave all of the way to the top.

You normally see 3 attention spikes [in volume]. These might or might not have a higher pps (usually lower). They want this at .0001, and they don't buy at .0002 unless they have to. Do you think they slap the ask? They are in control so they will sell into any rallies that might occur along the way to bring the price back down. They have pretty had their way with the PPS (mini me too!) But now Here's the Great News! We are now on the last wave of 3 and will break out any day now. Expect a sell off the day it spikes (one more all you can eat Whale buffet)
