CBD's are the active properties( Cannabinoids) of the plant less THC. These CBD's are used in many medical applications and have worked well for seizures plus many other things. My guess is that they will be growing this strain of plant for medical purposes and would assume that CBD's in some form could be incorporated into their nutritional supplements eventually.
CBD's/Cannabidiol is one of at least 60 active cannabinoids identified in cannabis. It is a major constituent of the plant, accounting for up to 40% of the plant's extract, as a non-psychotropic phytocannabinoid.
