stuff isn't expensive anymore. 1/4 tera drives are now readily available retail and all you really need on the display end is a display device with an ethernet port. add a little WiFi and X11-like multiple-head magic and voila!

it'll be a couple more years before its super-mainstream, but it's coming, by end of next year expect this capability out of the box with Tivo etc.
