Perhaps that happened because you sold your position prior to the T+3 rule? You have to sell after 3 days, or you will have that problem. 
Perhaps the rule has changed, but when I followed the T+3 rule, there was no rule of buying back in 30 days.....
Did you sell before 3 days went by?
