Normally the biotech you invest in owns the IP. The IP is what (you own) and invest in. Then later if successful the company licenses the IP to third parties.

Here you don't own the IP but do own a license as a third party.

Into perpetuity, until it get's broken.

NNVC is paying/has paid to develop the IP and therefore NNVC should own the IP.
