Why not at least a loan ? Surely he could arrange a loan just to maintain a level of solvency that doesn't bring into question the ability to sustain basic operational costs.

BTW, as I recall the story, Sam Walton couldn't get a bank loan to suit his expansion needs, so he acquired a small Arkansas bank that would provide his company with the loans he needed at the rates he needed. Not a bad I idea, huh ?
