Actually long-underwear i wore as a kid in cold times was getting close to magic Mormon masonic underwear, without the superstition attached to it .. no slit in the right knee, no priesthood symbols over nipples, (think they are there) ..
a woman in the video mentions two symbols stand for two of the, sometimes three, Mormon priesthoods, i couldn't catch the first one she mentioned so first went here .. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_garment .. then since the 2nd one was heard as 'aronic' to here ..
The Aaronic priesthood (/??'r?n?k/ air-RON-ik; also called the Priesthood of Aaron or the Levitical priesthood) is the lesser of the two (or sometimes three) orders of priesthood recognized in the Latter Day Saint movement. The others are the Melchizedek priesthood and the rarely recognized Patriarchal priesthood. Unlike the Melchizedek priesthood, which is modeled after the authority of Jesus and the Apostles, or the Patriarchal priesthood, which is modeled after the authority of Abraham, the Aaronic priesthood is modeled after the priesthood of Aaron the Levite, the first high priest of the Hebrews, and his descendents. The Aaronic priesthood is thought to be a lesser or preparatory priesthood and an "appendage" of the more powerful Melchizedek priesthood. Practically, the leadership of the Aaronic priesthood, such as the Presiding Bishop, are administrative and financial agents of the church.[nb 1] Aaronic priesthood holders ages 12–18 prepare, bless, and administer the sacrament, collect fast offerings, assist in home teaching, and occasionally perform baptisms. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaronic_priesthood_%28Latter_Day_Saints%29
.. you may have seen, in the 2nd link, some Mormons believe the underwear offers protection against fire ..
In Mormon folklore, tales are told of Latter-day Saints who credit their temple garments with helping them survive car wrecks, fires, and natural disasters http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_garment
one guy in the video in the first link seems to, as he relates a story about a Mormon lady in her magic garment suffered a car wreck, her arms and legs were burnt, but the part of her body under the underwear wasn't .. for him not to have tested that belief is natural, i guess, as it's not science, is it .. oh, and the hypocrisy of the Christian minister is a bit much too, as he talks of the "ridiculous superstition" of the Mormons .. hmm, there was something else .. oh, yeah, in the 2nd link Joseph Smith said it would be a "grievous sin" to alter the underwear ..
For several decades after its introduction in the 1840s, the original 19th-century union-suit style was accepted within Mormon doctrine as being unalterable. In 1906, LDS Church President Joseph F. Smith characterized as a "grievous sin" any attempt, in the name of changing fashion trends, to modify the 1840s garment pattern, which he characterized as "sacred, unchanged, and unaltered from the very pattern in which God gave them." However, while the original pattern of the garment is still in use by some Mormon fundamentalists, the LDS Church has updated the original pattern. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_garment
yet they have .. once a sin not always a sin? .. or is the underwear now a sin in itself? .. just attempting some rational logic in an irrational and illogical sphere .. lol ..
It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
