Not all DME lovers are democrats my friend. Obama's proposal would cripple our economy more. The USA is not ready for such a jump. Small steps are better in this case.

DME is the perfect alternative because it can bride the gap between fossil and bio fuel in a way that does not dramatically hurt the US economy.

It will take the US years to make the jump to anything other then oil. Unless we want to import out DME from china, we need to be smart about this. The government is not smart about much.
