#1 along with #4 are confusing - where is the spending coming from with the unemployment number inching up? Having spent several weekends recently in an auto dealer's showroom, my completely unscientific research tells me people are still spending. Some auto mfg had low/no interest rates; this dealership was not one of those mfg. Rats!
