I have a question among all this great news and hoopla. Don't like being a wet blanket but the question keeps coming up in my brain and I don't have an answer for it. This technology is fantastic and is probably one of the greatest things since sliced bread. It is so disruptive that it seems to me that it will literally destroy one whole industry.
That industry happens to be IMO <IT>. What are all of the techs going to do when they no longer have to tweak the companies computer system and be the go to guys when somebody has a problem
I have been a equipment sales guy for 40 years and the sales pitch should always be directed to the money guy in the company if the product truly will save the companies money. I have lost many a sale due to the worker bee looking at a product that will most certainly eliminate his job. He will go to his boss and make as earnest a case as you can imagine to not get this product. That is a fact.
I definitely want to see SPIHF/V3 take off, but selling this new concept to IT is not a direction selling efforts should be applied.
Unless I'm way off base here. Would definitely like to open a discussion on this.
