Hi Dubi,

It's an interesting article and I've read many similar. Back when I first started trading as a kid, there were tons of articles about how the Dow Jones would never pass 1000. It had real problems doing so. I believe it was during the Nixon fiasco.

Then after it finally went through 1000, all the experts kept saying that the 1000 was now a floor.

I thought it was silly then (how could 30 stocks determine the market direction?) but if you go back, it pretty much was what happened as the market sailed to much, much levels after struggling for a long time at that "magic" number.

I've always been of a mind that TA is to be used as a guide because the MM's and the insitutions use it both to make decisions and to throw out signals to confuse others. So, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

As for options, I'm sure you've read some of the max pain analyses that indicate that manipulation by options players and MM's, control the moves of equities with derivative options. I tend to believe some of that particularly where you have liquidity in the options.

Personally, I spend my entire time on DD, but I do use charts just to see what everyone else is doing LOL......

Catch you later.
