Reports Q1 (Jan) earnings of $0.21 per share, $0.08 better than the Reuters Estimates consensus of $0.13; revenues rose 10.5% year/year to $111.9 mln vs the $107.2 mln consensus. Net income for the first quarter of fiscal year 2005 included $1.2 mln of expense, or $0.03 per diluted share related to the open market repurchase of $41.4 mln of the co's outstanding 4 3/4% Convertible Subordinated Notes. "We experienced broad based demand for both integrated circuit and flat panel display photomask technology and services as our customers were actively releasing new products and design iterations."
