Let's say you graduated in the top quartile of your class in computer science from a top school like MIT or Stanford. Are you seriously going to pick Intel over Google?
It would really depend on what niche within SW I wanted to do
The top semiconductor talent will go to Intel or Qualcomm :)
Or Apple...they've really been hoarding CPU engineers...
