Goldman Sachs was the 11th highest volume MM in Dec. with over 18 millon in volume. Calmed down in Jan. to over 5 million. ARCA jumped from Dec. to Jan. from 10th highest in volume to 5th highest, so you may be right that some are using ARCA to cache their actions, but I can't confirm that.
NITE led in January with about 1/4th of the 2.5 billion shares traded. A surprise for me, UBSS all but disappeared in Jan.
You are very good in spotting GSCH as a critical element.
As far as CC expanding in Canada, there are other problems there- mainly with the USPS. Serious problems in terms of sending packages over the border because of the Patriot Act, I believe. Others here certainly know more than I do on this topic.
