If by price you mean loss leaders rather than competitive products...
I suspect you are using the term loss-leader incorrectly. Loss-leaders are usually the most competitive products - and in the phone/tablet space, subsidizations have become commonplace.

In an overcrowded and highly competitive market, there are winners and losers (I'll avoid the pun here
). Expect some consolidation as the most well-funded and technically competent companies win the business.
