I just wish Intel would be more forthright about what happened rather than simply go quiet. Help investors understand exactly what went wrong and tell us what you plan to do to improve it.

There's a definite balancing act, and quite a lot of political savviness required in giving out information. Too much, and you arm your enemies, and your competitors, with knowledge to destroy you. Too little, and you risk alienating your support base, and investors.

Krzanich is a very humble, very honest man, and probably not too good at being a politician.

any hint on how much traction Intel is seeing with Merrifield would have been very comforting, instead of the constant whispers and rumors that I get sent to my inbox almost daily about how Intel has basically written it off and is trying frantically to pull in Moorefield.

Well if you already know that much (and it all seems rational to me, besides), then why do you need them to be more public about it?
