We do have a functioning government - you may not like it but it is functioning under the Constitution. Now let's look at your psychosis or as I would more say fetish about gun worship. You don't need an assault weapon for protection but for killing our US soldiers in some fantasy of an armed revolution. Or killing your neighbors who may disagree with you. It certainly is not for some foreign invasion. I understand it is difficult for you to come to grips with your sickness but for society's sake you should seek help.

You want mentally unstable people (is this the real reason you don't want regulation?) access to guns. You want assault style weapons be available to criminals. You want no limits on what terrorist can purchase to arm themselves to attack our infrastructure. All because you have a sickness that you feel should not be treated.
