Anyone updating the ibox has access to the same information as everyone else, being a mod doesn't grant one special access to anything

That's not exactly true. Everyone who's been on ihub for 2 weeks knows exactly how pro mods build the advertising baloney (I'm talking mostly hard core cult stocks free boards) in the info box when there's all 6 pro company. Case in point, a former founder and genius ceo of his company, is convicted of fraud and is going to jail for years... would a normal person think that is a viable material event that should be in the info box or stickied? Well, not with a pro mod board. No one privately will contest this fact about Ihub. On the rare occasion there is a non pro mod, the info box will reflect that due to the new rules for Mods. Before that, one mod usually will and has done ALL the info stuff and the other mods will work with him/her. This is a fact, accepted for years. No big deal. A free stock board with a majority of anti-corp mods is in the vast minority.
It is not in Ihubs monetizing model best interest to have anti-corp modded boards. The money is in the promotion.

The baloney box is here to stay, as long as Ihub gives everyone the option of disabling the junk after the first time on the board, all is good. If ihub takes that away from even the freebs, the amazing high numbers may drop a tad. And that means loss of income for advfn. That's not going to happen, ... I hope.
