AMD has been very public about their lawsuit, Intel is privy to AMD's roadmaps, just like AMD can get a hold of Intel's. AMD demoed an opteron around the corner at an Intel IDF, so your belief that AMD is pretty secretive doesn't cut it. They are pretty secretive about the next gen arch though, hmm I wonder why? Usually they are very vocal, remember ALL the hammer hammer hammer stories? :)
