Well... he's a jock through and through. He made a lot of money throwing a ball to entertain the masses.

When you're in the NFL your are one in more than a million. That means that at the age of 12 you were already far superior to everyone you knew. You may have worked very hard to hone that but you were sure as hell born with it too.

So good on John Elway and f*ck his belief system. He has no idea what it's like not having your ass kissed from the day you entered middle school... He may have known work, but he's never known a day of struggle in his life. He was handed a way out of that. He was born John Elway.

I had that same imperious ration of shit from a local farmer who told me how hard he worked all his life. I didn't have a job at the time. And as luck would have it my dad hadn't had a few thousand acres, several houses and a million dollars worth of infrastructure and equipment to leave me. So yeah, my neighbor may have worked hard at the life he had... but the first thing that happened is that it was handed to him. Thank your stars and try a little humility.
