JCP J.C. Penney shares unattractive, says Buckingham
Buckingham believes that J.C. Penney's stock was weak yesterday partly due to uncertainty about the company's Q4 performance in light of the overall challenging retail environment, and concerns that vendors may stop supporting the retailer due to its liquidity issues. The firm continues to believe that the company has enough liquidity to carry out a turnaround if its sales and margins keep improving, but it views the stock's risk/reward ratio as neutral at best and recommends that investors avoid the stock.
