BitCoin was the originator of concept and consumer acceptance has determined "proof of concept".

In emerging markets, there is usually a single originator/leader, "A first to market" then to follow will be several competing companies that refine the concept or product of the original company, eliminating many negative oversights as consumer feedback is received. They will add new requested enhancements and come to market with their own "like" product.

After the market is flooded with "like" companies, and the product still proves to be viable, a consolidation will most likely occur through M&A. The remaining non-competitive companies will just fade away.

The few remaining companies left will compete for market share. Out of those companies, the one who provides the best ease of use, acceptability, security, cost, quality, customer service, etc. usually becomes predominate.

Now if my opinion can be applied to the emerging markets of digital currency, that is yet to be determined. BitCoin definitely opened a new virtual door of opportunity.

When all is said and done, IMHO the marketplace will ultimately determine who shall succeed and who shall fail.

Since digital currency is now a proven concept, the question is when will the world's governments either tax this new concept or create their own.

In closing, educated people must ask themselves, has BitCoin become the catalyst towards a one world currency.
