Not to beat this to death, but you can easily change the "author" in a Word document in the properties. And it stays with that author in subsequent uses of that document as a template for other documents. It doesn't revert to who the software is registered to. And I have found many of my Word documents simply say "user" as the author (and the software is registered in my name). A newly created Word document, without using an existing template says "user" as the author. Try it. So, there goes that theory about the author being who the software is registered to.
By the way, several folks who bragged about their extensive software knowledge said that there was no way an "author" would show up in a PDF on a website (OTCMarkets). They were wrong.
