They did in transistor performance, but as I tried to point out to you, mas, and semi_equip_junkie over at Yahoo well beforehand, Intel had pretty comparatively poor density at 22nm and that 20nm would be much denser."

[They covered this in some detail on Investor's Day. You don't remember? They said they simply had no need for improved density at 22nm. Now they do and they are seizing leadership in density.

It's that simple.]
