Surgical glue being tested by Gecko Biomedical (private) appears to be a bona fide breakthrough product:

Langer is the founder of myriad biotech companies (including MNTA and BIND). In due course, Gecko plans to seek initial regulatory approval in Europe, where the threshold for approval of medical devices is very much lower than in the US.
