One needs a strategy or forecast when investing. My expectation has long been that INTC is going to essentially remain range bound. With that expectation, writing Puts and Calls makes sense. If someone has different expectations then option writing is probably a bad strategy as the upside is limited and the downside exposure is there as well. Spreads and condors can limit risk and may make sense as well.
