You obviously have a very rigid mind...the company is still in prototype stage which is part of a typical development phase. The CES is their key to showing their product to potential customers and investors. The domestic versus out sourcing is irrelevant once they receive huge demand....the $400K is going to be very low of an investment once orders come in...and investors will come in to endorse much more.
