TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie, under fire after revelations that one of his senior aides was tied to the George Washington Bridge scandal, today canceled a scheduled event in Ocean County, his office said in an e-mail.
Christie was expected to make an 11 a.m. announcement in the Manahawkin section of Stafford Township about housing recovery after Hurricane Sandy. The event was open to the media but the governor was not expected to hold a question and answer session.
