Who on Earth would want a dual boot Android and Windows tablet?

Seems like a dumb gimmick to me.

That's because it is a dumb and gimmicky idea, and it will fail, because the idea neither gets the simplicity and ease of use of Android, nor does it get the flexibility and power of Windows.

I can't think of many unique Android apps that don't have a Windows equivalent. Netflix, Youtube, Facebook, eBook Readers, Sports/News/Weather, etc. Microsoft has 95% of what Android has. Android has a few unique apps, but I wouldn't want to dual boot to Android just to use them.

Do you set up your email client in Windows or in Android? If you're in Android and you get a Word attachment, then you had better reboot to Windows and download it again.

The whole reason people like using Android is so that they don't have to mess with Windows. And it integrates better with mobile, since it has your contacts, location awareness, and phone app all tied together. Devices based on Android are also less expensive for a given level of quality.

Android running on a Windows machine is going to be more expensive, weigh more, with less battery life, and be exposed to all the things that Windows continues to be plagued with: viruses, malware, instability, bloatware, etc.

It's like buying a Smartcar for its light-weight and fuel efficiency, and adding a massive trailer to the back of it.

I think it's a waste of time and resources for Intel to be investing in it.
