The mission of Insignia Senior Living is “Providing a Safe and Joyful Environment for Seniors.” To ensure we meet our mission our residents need to know their rooms and common areas are safe and free from harmful bacteria. Traditional cleaning methods contain bleach and do not cover all areas. Kleansweep Sanitation Recently completed spraying the ByoSolve Infection Control system at our establishment. The results were outstanding. Five areas were tested were deemed likely to pose a possible risk to a patient based on their high touch nature: the toilet seat, toilet rails, bedside the table, remote channel changer, and patient walker handles. After an iniital spraying, and 6 days of follow up spraying, all counts were tested and validated. Protein count levels of zero were consistently achieved based on RLU sampling, an indicator of pathogens present on the tested surfaces.
An additional benefit of the spraying was the elimination of odor. Traditional cleaning methods are subject to varibales due to the nature of human dynamics including the ability to reach all surfaces, quickly and effectively. The ByoSolve method covered all areas, leaving no surface untreated. The results also showed the residual value of ByoSolve on the surfaces, particular those in the high-touch areas such as the remote channel changer, bedside tables, and personal walkers.
With the ByoSolve Infection Control System, our patients can be assured their rooms are thoroughly disinfected using a non-corrosive, EPA approved solution providing an increased level of safety, mitigating high risk conditions, and flu viruses. The use of the ByoSolve solution will provide an environment where both residents and staff can be assured the transfer of bacterial pathogens will be greatly reduced from one human to another.
