I understand your point but this was a simple case of "They would not invest in us if they knew so dont let them know".

Maybe I am wrong but I would think any investor of any company, given the choice, would not invest under those circumstances and so they "Gagged" those circumstances.

It may be good for the company but it was disrespectful to those who should of had the choice regarding their own money.

If your only point is that it is necessary to walk on shareholders to achieve goals then I simply do not agree.

I do not believe this was necessary in the way that they did this but rather it was the easy and fast way. This is at the expense of shareholders dollar value and trust IMO.
