First of all, a classified ad doesn't confirm Marani is aware of this lawsuit or even confirm it's an actual case. A paid ad isn't a public notice for one thing, and two most if not all public notices are of criminal cases not civil cases which are either free or paid by the plaintiff or second party aka attorney. Second, for this case to be legit, the defendant must be served papers in person and sign a form from the public servant acknowledging the complaint/case. People wouldn't get paid for those jobs otherwise. I've been involved in a civil case before so I would know, along with some of my college classes I took. Every state does vary but they do usually follow similar guidelines. Anyone could have copy, pasted, and edited an article for their liking and then turned it in to the paper. And our 52 week high of the year was just days before this was put in the paper. Coincidence???
