the extraction and decoding of the DNA in such a complete manner has enabled many discoveries to be made from the data from the single procedure.
sort of like if they had dug up an old car... there are people that are experts on tires and there are experts on transmissions so each would have something to analyze--- so when a fundamental advance in the decoding of a complete Neandertal genome occurs, there is something for everyone to write about and analyze as there are so many specializations in genetics. That dna sequence will probably be the source of many published papers. I think that is why the discovery has already yielded a couple different headline type stories.
