Mary777, my math is fine hun, check yours
My cable is actually $70 a month. 414 channels, please, its not per channel, as the broadcast/cable company channels are free, and there are hundreds of music channels, plus all the preview channels, etc... plus the plethora that come with each package. Go to any Company's site, and count up all the channels that people watch. Now count up how many are pay channels for premium content, such as, sports. 400+channels is a gross exaggeration, but it is true in a way. But dont give me that pro-rata crap, because I have 0ver 70 music channels, and I know they don't make up 1/8th of my cable bill. I DO pay $10 for HBO, and $5 for GolTV however. The $5 I got is figuring revenue from the actual subscription numbers, plus advertising revenue that would be generated based on viewership to the carriers. The 25% factors in their profit after paying the carrier, who would get $3.75 of that $5 value from subscriptions/advertising.
