The doctors pretty much set on prescribing Xarelto, wasn't trying to convince them to change to Eliquis, just discussion on Xarelto vs Eliquis. It was clear they didn't think that much of Eliquis. My impression was they didn't think Eliquis offering anything more, and 1st to market is a big advantage since they gained experience and confidence in using this new class of drug, then stick with it. My guess is if Xarelto had slightly rockier launch, say like Pradaxa, they might have been more willing to try something different.
