I don't get heartburn over the fact that there are homosexuals, sara. What I get heartburn over is when people try to make the case that it is a normal lifestyle choice. It is not. People who are homosexual may be different in some physiological or genetic way, but that does not make them normal, it makes them abnormal. If you wish to base your decisions on such things on "who is it hurting," perhaps we could discuss the legalization of prostitution? Prostitution "hurts" its participants in the same ways as the alternative lifestyles such as homosexuality do. Shall we consider the spread of disease or vulnerability to social ostracism?
