Mother Goose: Journey to Utopia - Casting Ideas? Here's a fun choice, since either star would be superb for our film.
HHSE is looking at the role of Humpty Dumpty for our current epic production of "MOTHER GOOSE: JOURNEY TO UTOPIA." This is one of the leading roles, as Humpty Dumpty accompanies Jack and Gillian through Utopia throughout most of the movie. This character needs to be vulnerable enough to be intimidated by the evil Valkerna (Samuel L. Jackson) but brilliant enough to hold his own when facing Mother Goose (Shirley MacLaine) with the solutions to complex riddles that hold the key to the kids' survival. So, who do you like more in this pivotal role (bear in mind that this is a fully-costumed character - much in the way that many of the characters in Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND were in prosthetic costumes and makeup)? NATHAN LANE ("The Producers") or ERIC STONESTREET ("Modern Family") >> ?? We wish we could hire BOTH!
