It sounds so simple in theory. And that's what phone and tablet SOC makers are doing, right ? So why not for servers ?

I have the feeling that the efficiency of the server chip operation, the timing of its internal signal propagation, and perhaps its correctness will go to crap, if a foreign block was added to it. However my knowledge of such things is limited to having read an advertising seeking a chip designer back in the early 80's.

On the other hand, I'll take the fact that absolutely no one does this, as evidence that it is not a good idea. Of course no one did the twerk to an audience of millions before the Miley girl did, either. Oh, wait, it is still not a good idea. Sorry!
