I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic.....but, I'm certain that most here would agree that both Parties suck and American politics has degenerated into little more than a path to wealth for the self serving....the good of the nation is a distant second or non-existent.
IMO, the GOP & Dems just operate from different "starting points"....
The Repubs work from "the top down"....meaning historically, they are the ones who are in bed with big business and care little for the "average joe"......
opposite that, the Dems work from "the bottom up".....their constituency is the minority groups or anyone who feels alienated from the mainstream.....their voting block is based upon maintaining strife and inequality among the population.....
so, now we witness what typically happens when Democrats are in power....Obamacare on one hand and constant vilification of wealth generation being todays' prime examples.....
I will make one observation: the "hits" we get from Republicans is indirect.....more like that trickle down thing.....for example a deal with big oil of big pharma doesn't affect us directly in our daily lives....
however, the progressive agenda (Democrats) affects us more directly as they attempt to move us more and more into Marxism....Obamacare being a prime example....
meanwhile, as the population suffers both socially and economically, the "elite" of both Parties are living "high on the hog"......
bottom line....Repub or Dem, it's all about power and money
