A post from Bald Eagle on MP which I believe sums up the dynamic that is MDMN:

"Many people choose to dismiss Medinah as an obvious fraud b/c it's nearly impossible to understand how a company could go through so many years of undelivered JVs and promises. Most of those still involved have one thing in common, belief in the underlyling asset. There is an obvious difference of opinion and regard amongst shareholders for the BOD and how they have handled the quest for monetization.

When it comes to understanding a flow chart of MDMN's ridiculous rumor mongering, false starts, and missed deadlines it becomes critically important to understand the personalities of those (the BOD) controlling the company developments and news flow. I would guess that some will completely disagree with my characteriztion but, after being here for 40+ plus months and paying very close attention, this is my opinion on how "all things Medinah" end up in a confusing quagmire:

JJ: Our hero and founding member is mostly full of BS. I mean this in the most complimentary way. The mountain is his baby and like any proud father, there is simply no objectivity when it comes to JJ's discussion of the same. JJ has controlled everything for the past decade and, until the recent JV process, its very clear that he and he alone was responsible for the previous failed JV's. We can call him the "deal maker" sans any deals. Was his uncanny inability to close a solid deal on the ADL b/c no deal was good enough for his baby? I believe so

Les: The promoter and reluctant insider who has felt it his job to fill the void created by an absent Chapin and fuzzy rumblings from Chile. Always a loyal sidekick, Les will interpret anything JJ hands him and spin it to hungry shareholders in the most positive fashion.

Tenney: Wins the award for taking the least desireable CEO position of 2013. While not a well groomed Fortune 500 CEO he has been consistent and conservative with his guidance while trying to counterbalance other "insiders" need to constantly be involved through bizarre communications with shareholders.

Chapin: The executer. While his "done done done" statement at the SHM will never be forgotten it's important to remember where he got his intel (see JJ full of BS). While his long hiatus from all things Medinah has furthered the need for company communcation, I believe he has now taken the reins with our third at bat and will anonymously be the main contributor to the successful conclusion of a JV.

Tying everything together. The origin and ultiimate expiration of a typical MDMN rumor goes something like:

JJ: The trucks are starting to roll at the LDM again
Les: We should be generating significant cash fllow on the LDM in two weeks
Tenney: It sounds like we are making progress at the LDM
Chapin: Silence (there is no way I'm getting involved with another "he said she said")
Shareholders: Maybe we should issue a cash dividend with all of these cash flows

JJ: The trucks are just about to roll at the LDM
Les: Everything looking great at the LDM
Tenney: Argghhhhh
Chapin: I'm glad I never touched that rumor (I've learned my lesson)
Shareholders: Les is full of lies, I'm hearing there's no movement on the mountain. Let's ask Les what is going on!

Medinah is not a fraud. Sometimes its helpful to understand how so many ridiculous rumors come about and, yes, shareholders play a big role in the entire life cycle.

The adults are about to take over. The above described romper room actions will be a distant memory. The true heros, IMO, are those working behind the scenes. Everybody else will and should be sidelined.

Let's make some money. It sounds like we are finally there.
