How to post tabular data?

I'm familiar with the [ pre ] iHub command, I'm wondering if there is a better way to present tabular data.

E.g., see #msg-9464214 for an example of the type of data I want to present.

The data is from a simple cut and paste of a Yahoo stock portfolio screen display.

Using [ pre ] requires trial and error editing to space out shorter columns to line up with columns containing longer than average data.

Any suggestions on how to best present a table of stock data with several columns of data in an iHub post would be greatly appreciated.
