I have not followed the index stocks, so I have no sense how they behave near major turns. In recent months I have observed strange puts activity (particularly the leaps) so large that it skew my normal equity P/C ratio (I do not consider QQQ a "normal equity" and the trading of 30,000 contracts or so in one big swoon is not what I assign to Mosis). Today, I did not see such activity, but yesterday it was "rampant". I don't have enough historical data to draw any hypothesis on that behavior, though, just an interesting anomaly for now.
