My experiences in Europe are obviously quite different to yours. I lived there for some years and the only homes I recall seeing without carpets were in the Mediterranean countries where tile or marble floors are cooler during the hot months, but come winter they cover them with rugs. In addition, in Europe you still have more women who 'keep house' than here in America, where no one has the time and many homes are single-parent homes. Europeans are more thrifty and less inclined to buy whatever is the latest gadget than we Americans are, so I'd expect a bigger potential market exists here than in Europe. JMO
