even if the guy doesn't get a trip to the pokey for whatever reason, i am going to stick by my prediction that he will be gone from there before the winter is over. Very small towns have a way of dealing with guys like him. Some may not exactly be totally kosher, like refusing to sell him heating oil by conveniently forgetting to fill him up when he calls, or parts for his car, or people finding thinly veiled reasons to not fix a flat tire or forgetting to let him know about planned power outages.

Sort of like how it is in some very small isolated mormon communities when you are not one.
