While both [DJIA] and S&P 500 are at all-time high, NASDAQ is still more than 1,000 points below its all time high in 2000.

That’s because the technology and telecommunications sectors, which are over-represented on Nasdaq—have been the two worst-performing sectors of the market during the past 13 years. This NYT piece has the details:
