Variety is good.
Sometime late around Vancouver’s recent run for the new record; some residents of North Vancouver were put on an evacuation notice of an hour’s warning or less. Last year, during a similar rain event, there was an overnight landslide that killed a woman and badly injured her husband as they slept.
I noticed the mailmen were wearing shorts today....it was around 70 degrees here.
Around 50°F here today… about 30°F above average.
A couple/few years ago, there was a TV news story about a couple of local courier truck drivers competing to see who could outlast the other wearing shorts. This was during a normal winter, and no, these guys were not walking their routes… Truck heaters on max!
